5月14日上午，國家主席習近平在北京人民大會堂東門外廣場舉行儀式，歡迎美國總統特朗普訪華。
期間十余名美方商界代表入場，其中包括蘋果首席執行官蒂姆·庫克、英偉達創始人兼首席執行官黃仁勛、特斯拉公司首席執行官埃隆·馬斯克等。
會談結束后，黃仁勛接受鳳凰衛視記者采訪。在回答為何最后一刻登機，他表示，特朗普邀請他一同訪華，這對他來說是一個絕佳機會，“這是我們依靠關系建立更好伙伴關系的絕佳機會”。
針對整體會談和歡迎儀式的感受，黃仁勛則表示非常鼓舞人心，中國很熱情好客。
