Spokesperson of the PLA Eastern Theater Command Issues a Statement on a Dutch Naval Vessel Transiting the Taiwan Strait

東部戰(zhàn)區(qū)新聞發(fā)言人徐承華陸軍大校表示，5月27日以來，荷蘭“德魯伊特”號護衛(wèi)艦艦載直升機非法侵闖西沙領(lǐng)空，接續(xù)過航臺灣海峽。中國人民解放軍東部戰(zhàn)區(qū)組織?？毡膳炦^航行動全程跟監(jiān)警戒，有效應對處置。戰(zhàn)區(qū)部隊時刻保持高度戒備，堅決捍衛(wèi)國家主權(quán)安全和地區(qū)和平穩(wěn)定。

Senior Colonel Xu Chenghua, spokesperson of the PLA Eastern Theater Command (ETC): Since May 27, the ship-borne helicopter of the Dutch frigate HNLMS De Ruyter illegally intruded into the airspace over China’s Xisha Qundao, and then the frigate transited the Taiwan Strait. The PLA ETC dispatched naval and air assets to track and monitor the Dutch frigate throughout its passage, and handled the situation effectively. Forces of the PLA ETC will stay on high alert at all times and resolutely safeguard China’s sovereignty and security, as well as regional peace and stability.
