父母養育之恩，山高海深，寸草難報三春之暉。游子遠走天涯，慈母倚門守望；離別之時牽衣垂淚，思念之日日夜牽腸。世間孝子，或千里歸鄉侍親，或睹物思母悲啼，一片赤誠孝心，坦蕩純粹，可昭日月。孝悌本是中華文脈根基，慈母牽掛、子女念親的深情藏于千首唐詩。今甄選十二首孝親詠母名篇，以唐詩為主，兼收五代佳作,傳遞東方獨有的親情底色。
筆者秉承許淵沖大師提出的“以詩譯詩”和“三美論”（音美、意美、形美），兼顧“功能對等”（又稱“動態對等”），譯文讀者對譯文的反應與原文讀者對原文的反應相似，以獨創韻體英譯，嚴守信達雅，讓古典孝悌溫情與今天的我們共情。為方便讀者理解，把詩文共同的文化專有詞統一注釋如下：

The Unknown Youth

翻譯準則：嚴格遵循 “信達雅”，不增譯原文無有的情節、情緒，不刪減核心意象，完全貼合唐詩原文字面與深層親情內涵；全部原創韻體，未借鑒現有任何名家譯本。
韻律設計：每首統一采用規整尾韻（AABB/ABAB），貼合英文古典短詩誦讀節奏，兼顧中文詩歌含蓄雋永的特質。
意象處理：daylily 對應萱草、highhall 代高堂，保留中華孝文化專屬意象，不強行西化替換；慈母、游子、歸侍、墳前悼母等核心親情概念統一譯法，文本體系連貫。
風格把控：用詞克制淡雅，貼合唐詩溫潤沉斂的抒情基調，規避華麗浮夸修飾，還原古典詩歌留白含蓄之美。
因水平有限，譯作仍存在不足，敬請方家不吝賜教。筆者愿盡綿薄之力，為中華文化出海減少“文化折扣”做出些許貢獻。
