7月6日，據湖北宜昌西陵區公安分局發布一則警情通報：
7月3日16時35分，110接群眾報警稱，西陵區發生一起傷人案件。
公安機關迅速趕赴現場處置，當場將犯罪嫌疑人宋某某（男，64歲）抓獲，并及時將3名傷者送醫。經全力救治，1名傷者于6日上午搶救無效死亡，另2名傷者無生命危險。
目前，犯罪嫌疑人已被依法刑事拘留，案件正在進一步偵辦中。
