The United Nations has declared the period from 2021 to 2030 as the Ocean Decade. The vision of this project is to achieve the science we need for the ocean we want. Its goal is to better understand the ocean and its interactions with human society.

The Ocean Decade has listed ten challenges which are the most urgent to deal with, including expanding the global ocean observing system and creating a digital representation of the ocean.

During the Ocean Decade, scientists will work together to address these challenges. As individuals, one way to get involved is to educate ourselves about the importance of the ocean. Another way is to participate in local clean-up events. We can also support organizations that are committed to protecting the ocean.

聯(lián)合國宣布2021年至2030年為“海洋十年”。這個(gè)項(xiàng)目的愿景是實(shí)現(xiàn)我們想要的海洋所需的科學(xué)。它的目標(biāo)是更好地了解海洋及其與人類社會(huì)的相互作用。
