當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間4月18日，央視記者獲悉，美國(guó)中西部地區(qū)遭遇強(qiáng)風(fēng)及多場(chǎng)龍卷風(fēng)襲擊，大量房屋屋頂被掀翻、樹(shù)木被連根拔起，道路被阻斷，造成大范圍破壞。
本輪極端天氣于4月17日席卷威斯康星州、明尼蘇達(dá)州及伊利諾伊州等地。多地官員表示，部分社區(qū)恢復(fù)工作可能持續(xù)較長(zhǎng)時(shí)間。
