在西班牙本屆世界杯首戰0-0戰平佛得角之后，前西班牙國門、現科貝電臺評論員卡尼薩雷斯談到了自己的看法。
卡尼薩雷斯在賽后表示：“西班牙需要一位善于干預、能做決定的教練，把狀態最好的球員排進首發。只有庫庫雷利亞、馬科斯-略倫特、佩德里和亞馬爾踢出了應有水平，其他人都離最佳狀態差得很遠。”
卡尼薩雷斯還表示，西班牙隊的世界杯開局并沒有給外界帶來多少希望：“眼下發生的一切都讓人看不到希望。”這位評論員語氣悲觀地說。
