愛爾蘭素有“冬境”之稱，其史詩與神話傳統底蘊深厚。從中世紀海島藝術的巔峰《凱爾經》和四大古愛爾蘭語神話故事圈，到葉芝引領的凱爾特文藝復興，喬伊斯《尤利西斯》中重塑的都柏林文學地圖，貝克特荒誕而深邃的哲思劇場，再到希尼、默頓等當代愛爾蘭詩人筆下的多維現實，這片翡翠之地的文學脈絡綿延千載。本講座將循著羊皮、考古與詩歌的線索，解讀愛爾蘭尤具代表性的文本與圖像，帶領聽眾走進其瑰麗的文化與文學地理，并以此分享主講人旅居愛爾蘭期間所著散文集《翡翠島編年（十周年增訂版）》——一場往來于異域與故鄉之間的遠航。
Known as Hibernia, Ireland is home to a profound epic and mythological tradition. From the pinnacle of Insular art, The Book of Kells, and the four medieval mythological cycles, to the Celtic Renaissance led by Yeats, the remapping of Dublin in Joyce’s Ulysses, the philosophical vision of Beckett’s theatre, and the multifaceted modern experience rendered by poets from Heaney to Muldoon, the literary lineage of Ireland spans millennia, interweaving romance, rebellion, and historical depth. Tracing the threads of vellum, archaeology, and poetry, this lecture explores some of the island’s most iconic texts and images, inviting the audience into its rich cultural and literary geography. It also marks the launch of Prof. Bao Huiyi’s Annal of the Emerald Isle—an immram that navigates between home and elsewhere, between the island and the world.
