讓本科學(xué)生在實(shí)戰(zhàn)中練就軟實(shí)力

有人戴著VR頭顯,向圍觀者講解如何用虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí)幫病人做好術(shù)前心理準(zhǔn)備;有人對(duì)著大屏幕演示無人機(jī)航線規(guī)劃系統(tǒng);還有電腦上,一個(gè)叫“NuoBuddy”的聊天機(jī)器人正在回答新生關(guān)于宿舍、選課和食堂的問題……
上周,寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)的國際創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)大樓內(nèi)擺滿了攤位——不是招聘會(huì),也不是社團(tuán)招新,而是計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)系軟件工程小組項(xiàng)目課程(Software Engineering Group Project,簡(jiǎn)稱GRP)的開放日,該系全體大三學(xué)生正在展示他們花一整年時(shí)間做出來的適用于各類場(chǎng)景和需求的計(jì)算機(jī)應(yīng)用程序。
PART.01
隨機(jī)組隊(duì),競(jìng)標(biāo)拿項(xiàng)目
GRP的特別之處從組隊(duì)開始,約150名計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)系大三的學(xué)生被打散,組成20余個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)。
“我們?cè)谶@次項(xiàng)目合作之前都不認(rèn)識(shí)。”計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)與人工智能專業(yè)學(xué)生李熾和戴浩文、江源、敬紹洋、趙俊彬、童炳文組成了團(tuán)隊(duì),他們需要在極短時(shí)間內(nèi)完成磨合,因?yàn)榫o接著就是緊張的競(jìng)標(biāo)環(huán)節(jié)——項(xiàng)目不由老師分配,而靠“標(biāo)書”來搶。

時(shí)間倒回2025年10月9日下午,所有團(tuán)隊(duì)都在趕著提交投標(biāo)材料。個(gè)性化AI衣櫥助手、基于 AI 的視頻 / 圖像食物過敏原檢測(cè)、醫(yī)療人工智能平臺(tái)開發(fā)、寧波市水生態(tài)環(huán)境智能監(jiān)測(cè)與預(yù)警系統(tǒng)……有的是來自學(xué)校全球前2%頂尖科學(xué)家的科研課題,有的來自學(xué)校外部合作單位的需求,全部基于現(xiàn)實(shí)中最迫切和前沿的應(yīng)用場(chǎng)景。
“在學(xué)院乃至學(xué)校層面,我們一直努力為學(xué)生爭(zhēng)取更多有價(jià)值的機(jī)會(huì),尤為注重推動(dòng)產(chǎn)業(yè)合作項(xiàng)目。”計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)系系主任、課程負(fù)責(zé)人Dave Towey教授介紹道。
每支隊(duì)伍可以從項(xiàng)目清單中選1-3個(gè)意向,提交包含團(tuán)隊(duì)優(yōu)勢(shì)、成員簡(jiǎn)歷、項(xiàng)目構(gòu)想和時(shí)間計(jì)劃的投標(biāo)包,以此說服項(xiàng)目方把項(xiàng)目交給他們,競(jìng)標(biāo)失敗者將被調(diào)劑——就像真實(shí)世界里,不是每次投標(biāo)都會(huì)中標(biāo)。
PART.02
對(duì)接真實(shí)甲方
在進(jìn)度壓力中學(xué)會(huì)“項(xiàng)目管理”
投標(biāo)成功后,考驗(yàn)才真正開始。李熾團(tuán)隊(duì)拿下了第一志愿“基于增強(qiáng)現(xiàn)實(shí)的競(jìng)技體育體驗(yàn)提升及教學(xué)應(yīng)用”,他們需要掌握Unity3D或虛幻引擎、AR開發(fā)框架等可視化工具,以及動(dòng)作捕捉、多人聯(lián)機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)開發(fā)、交互界面設(shè)計(jì)等相關(guān)技術(shù),從而開發(fā)一套能把AR體育賽事里的數(shù)字特效“搬”到現(xiàn)實(shí)的觀賽系統(tǒng)——當(dāng)觀眾佩戴AR眼鏡時(shí),系統(tǒng)會(huì)將渲染出的游戲化特效(如能量條、攻擊反饋)實(shí)時(shí)疊加在真實(shí)的賽場(chǎng)畫面上,觀眾還能通過歡呼給選手“隔空加油”。
團(tuán)隊(duì)還要把這套系統(tǒng)的開發(fā)方法整理成教程,教更多人入行 AR體育,推動(dòng)AR競(jìng)技體育的普及與發(fā)展。

“項(xiàng)目簡(jiǎn)介通常只有一頁紙,需求是模糊的。”團(tuán)隊(duì)成員江源說,他們對(duì)接的“甲方”是一位國際傳播學(xué)教授,沒有技術(shù)背景,更關(guān)注體驗(yàn)與設(shè)計(jì)。
學(xué)生必須自己厘清:項(xiàng)目要解決什么問題?誰可能是用戶?需要什么技術(shù)?有什么風(fēng)險(xiǎn)?需要鏈接哪些資源?在項(xiàng)目推進(jìn)中,不斷與甲方和指導(dǎo)老師溝通、對(duì)齊需求,直至在最后期限前完成交付。
會(huì)議組織、集體決策、時(shí)間與人員管理、報(bào)告撰寫、演示匯報(bào)、溝通技巧以及沖突解決——這些課堂之外的“軟技能”,被反復(fù)錘煉,“體會(huì)到了當(dāng)乙方的感覺。”江源笑稱。

為真實(shí)職場(chǎng)而生的“社會(huì)課”
“這門課程的主要目的,是讓學(xué)生親身體驗(yàn)真實(shí)行業(yè)的工作狀態(tài)。通常在職場(chǎng)中,如果出現(xiàn)一個(gè)非常有意思的項(xiàng)目,可能會(huì)有不同的團(tuán)隊(duì)都想接手。但一般情況下,最終只有一個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)能獲得這個(gè)項(xiàng)目,他們必須證明,自己是最適合的人選。”
Dave Towey教授介紹,課程打破傳統(tǒng)“講授”模式,讓學(xué)生在完整項(xiàng)目周期中,將軟件工程知識(shí)、團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作能力、職業(yè)素養(yǎng)與應(yīng)對(duì)不確定性的能力深度融合,為未來求學(xué)與職業(yè)發(fā)展筑牢基礎(chǔ)。

基于 AI 的
視頻圖像食物過敏原檢測(cè)
2025年畢業(yè)的計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)專業(yè)學(xué)生楊開提起這段經(jīng)歷,仍覺收獲滿滿,“項(xiàng)目鼓勵(lì)我們主動(dòng)探索感興趣的領(lǐng)域,學(xué)會(huì)借助團(tuán)隊(duì)優(yōu)勢(shì)解決問題。”他與同學(xué)合作的成果后來轉(zhuǎn)化成了會(huì)議文章,發(fā)表在國際權(quán)威工程類學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議上。
“這門課的特別之處就是在發(fā)展能力的同時(shí),為學(xué)生提供了與社會(huì)接軌的場(chǎng)景。”目前從事腦電研究相關(guān)工作的畢業(yè)生胡妥回憶,他們當(dāng)時(shí)有AI虛擬人、港口前端開發(fā)、VR游戲、城市交通設(shè)計(jì)等20多個(gè)課題,他在VR游戲項(xiàng)目中掌握了機(jī)器人操作系統(tǒng)的完整流程,得以審視自身優(yōu)勢(shì)、彌補(bǔ)不足,這份收獲至今仍在賦能他的工作。

From classroom to career: UNNC students compete, create and deliver real-world tech solutions
On 15 April, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) transformed its Innovation and Entreprise Building into a vibrant hub of creativity and technology. At the Software Engineering Group Project (GRP) Open Day, all third-year Computer Science students presented a year’s worth of work, unveiling solutions designed for real-world impact.
From virtual reality tools supporting patients before surgery to drone route planning systems and an AI chatbot guiding new students through campus life, the showcase demonstrated how innovation at UNNC goes far beyond the classroom.
Competing for opportunity: Learning through challenge
At the heart of the GRP module is a distinctive, industry-driven approach. About 150 students are assigned to teams and must compete to secure projects through a professional-style bidding process.
Professor Dave Towey, Head of the School of Computer Science, and GRP module convenor, said: “We are committed to creating meaningful, real-world opportunities for our students, with a strong emphasis on industry engagement and collaboration.”
Drawing on projects from leading academic research and external industry partners, students tackle some of today’s most pressing and forward-looking challenges.
Real clients, real pressure, real growth
Once projects are secured, students step into the role of professionals, working with real clients—many without technical backgrounds—to define problems, design solutions and deliver results.
“Students must demonstrate not only technical excellence, but also why they are the best team for the project—just as they would in a real professional environment,” Professor Towey added.
One standout project, “Enhancing Augmented Reality-Based Competitive Sports Experience and Teaching How”, saw a team develop an augmented reality system that enhances live sports experiences by overlaying digital effects directly onto the physical arena. Working to tight deadlines and evolving client expectations, students refined both their technical expertise and their ability to adapt.
Preparing future talent for a changing world
By immersing students in the full lifecycle of a project, the GRP module bridges the gap between academic study and professional practice. It equips students with technical knowledge alongside essential skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving in uncertain environments.
Graduates continue to benefit long after the course ends—whether publishing research, advancing into cutting-edge fields such as AI and virtual reality, or applying their experience in industry.
As Professor Towey summarised: “Our goal is to replicate authentic industry conditions, enabling students to graduate with the skills, confidence and professional mindset needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.”
