5月15日上午，國家主席習(xí)近平在中南海同美國總統(tǒng)特朗普舉行小范圍會晤。

President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump had a restricted meeting on Friday in Beijing.

The meeting came a day after Xi held talks with Trump, who is on a state visit to China from May 13 to 15.

春末夏初的中南海，綠蔭漸濃、草木蔥蘢。特朗普抵達時，習(xí)近平熱情迎接。兩國元首邊走邊談，不時駐足觀賞園中蒼勁挺拔的古樹和各色月季。

習(xí)近平指出，特朗普總統(tǒng)此訪是一次歷史性、標志性的訪問，我們共同確定了中美建設(shè)性戰(zhàn)略穩(wěn)定關(guān)系的新定位，就保持經(jīng)貿(mào)關(guān)系穩(wěn)定、拓展各領(lǐng)域務(wù)實合作、妥善解決彼此關(guān)切達成重要共識，同意就國際和地區(qū)問題加強溝通和協(xié)調(diào)。訪問有利于促進相互理解、加深彼此信任、增進兩國人民福祉。這也再次表明，中美在相互尊重基礎(chǔ)上實現(xiàn)和平共處、合作共贏，走出一條正確相處之道，是兩國人民所愿和世界各國人民所盼。特朗普總統(tǒng)希望讓美國再次偉大，我致力于帶領(lǐng)中國人民實現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興。中美雙方可以通過加強合作，促進各自的發(fā)展振興。雙方要落實好我們達成的重要共識，珍惜當前來之不易的良好勢頭，把準方向、排除干擾，推動兩國關(guān)系穩(wěn)定發(fā)展。

Noting that Trump's visit was a historic and landmark one, Xi said the two sides had set the new vision of building a constructive China-US relationship of strategic stability.

"We had reached important common understandings on maintaining stable economic and trade ties, expanding practical cooperation in various fields, and properly addressing each other's concerns," Xi said.

The two sides also agreed to strengthen communication and coordination on international and regional issues, according to Xi.

The visit is conducive to enhancing mutual understanding, deepening mutual trust and improving the well-being of the two peoples, Xi said.

特朗普表示，非常感謝習(xí)近平主席邀請我到中南海做客。此次訪華是一次非常成功的訪問，舉世矚目，令人難忘。雙方形成一系列重要共識，達成多項協(xié)議，解決了不少問題，對兩國和世界都十分有益。習(xí)近平主席是我的老朋友，我十分尊重習(xí)近平主席，我們建立了良好的關(guān)系。美中關(guān)系很重要，一定會越來越好。我愿同習(xí)近平主席繼續(xù)保持誠懇深入溝通，熱情期待在華盛頓接待習(xí)近平主席。

雙方還就一些地區(qū)熱點問題交換了意見。
