秋意漸濃時，院角那棵老槐樹最先感知節氣。先是葉緣泛起黃邊，像老人鬢角不經意露出的白，而后整片葉子漸漸褪去青翠，呈現出一種熟透的麥穗色。每日清晨，總有三五片葉子打著旋兒落下，有時沾著露水，沉甸甸地砸在石階上，發出細微的"啪嗒"聲。

這樣的清晨，我常與鄰家老張對坐廊下。他總帶著那把包漿溫潤的紫砂壺，壺嘴冒著白氣，在冷空氣里畫出蜿蜒的曲線。"聽風辨秋是最準的。"老張抿著茶說。這時節的風確實不同，穿過樹梢時帶著金屬般的清響，掠過耳畔時又像誰在輕輕撕扯綢緞。我們都不說話，只聽著風把落葉推過青磚的窸窣聲，看它們時而聚作金黃的漩渦，時而排成斜斜的雁陣。
前日收到故人從南國寄來的包裹。拆開層層牛皮紙，露出個粗陶罐子，封口的紅布上還沾著泥漬。啟封時，桂花的甜香混著酒曲的醇厚撲面而來，竟讓滿院秋色都醉了幾分。想起去年此時，我們還在江南的桂雨里漫步，他忽然蹲下身子，把落花一捧捧裝進隨身帶的布袋。"等來年釀成酒，準保讓你嘗到整座秋山的味道。"當時只當是笑談，不料他真記在心上。

西廂房的李嬸最近總在檐下曬柿餅。削了皮的柿子掛在竹竿上，像一串串小燈籠。她總挑最軟的塞給我："嘗嘗，甜得很。"那蜜糖般的滋味在舌尖化開時，窗外的梧桐正大片大片地掉葉子。

這樣的秋天，不必刻意歡喜，也無需莫名憂愁。就像那壇桂花酒，時光自會把它釀得愈發醇厚；如同廊下飄落的葉，終將化作春泥更護花。萬物都在該來的時刻來，在該去的時節去，而我們只需捧一杯熱茶，坐在滿院秋光里，靜靜聆聽歲月走過的足音。
