7月初，應越南海軍邀請，中國人民解放軍海軍戚繼光艦、昆侖山艦組成的艦艇編隊將赴越南胡志明市訪問。近年來，中越海軍在艦艇互訪、聯合巡邏等領域深化合作，為增進兩國互信、維護地區穩定發揮積極作用。
