當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間5月21日，美國(guó)在格陵蘭島首府努克的領(lǐng)事館新址舉行開館儀式。數(shù)百人在領(lǐng)事館新址附近舉行抗議，抗議者喊著“格陵蘭島屬于格陵蘭人民”，表達(dá)他們的不滿。
格陵蘭島是世界第一大島，也是丹麥自治領(lǐng)地，有高度自治權(quán)，國(guó)防和外交事務(wù)由丹麥政府掌管。美國(guó)方面多次表示要得到格陵蘭島，遭到丹麥及多方強(qiáng)烈反對(duì)。（總臺(tái)記者 郝曉麗）
