北京時間6月12日上午，世界杯小組賽首輪韓國隊2-1逆轉捷克隊。據韓國媒體報道，首爾光化門廣場聚集1.8萬名球迷觀看韓國隊比賽。
據悉，比賽當日首爾氣溫高達30度左右，韓國市民們紛紛戴上降溫袖套、太陽鏡，撐起陽傘，手持便攜式風扇，抵御炎熱。
在光化門廣場對面的人行道上，人們擠在樹蔭下，目光都緊緊盯著媒體墻。據估計，截至當天下午1點，已有18000人聚集在光化門廣場。
